We offer personalized guidance to help your child succeed in their path towards college.

    1. Starting when your child is in 9th or 10th grade, we start with a diagnostic and lay out a comprehensive plan for the next 12-24 months. The plan includes:
      • High School Course selection.
      • Additional Course coverage outside of High School.
      • SAT / ACT Planning & Preparation (prep classes offered as an option).
      • Extra Curricular enhancements (projects, research, competitions, internships & more).
      • Volunteering and Community Service.
      • Scholarship Targeting.
    2. Guidance on interim applications for Summer Programs, residential High School applications (like NCSSM).
    3. Defined online meeting schedule and unlimited offline interaction via messaging.
    4. Regular contingency planning on execution.
    5. Ongoing and frequent progress updates to parents.

College Application Support

We offer personalized guidance to help your child complete high quality College Applications and Essays.

    1. Organizing Application structure and ordering of different items in the application.

    2. Full Essay reviews - common app and college specific essays. Writing a strong College Essay has two primary components:
      • Develop the right strategy and structure for each essay. Here we work with students on topic selection and structuring the communication strategy. Each student has multiple facets on their story to pick from and we help customize the optimal strategy for each college.
      • Develop the right language style and flow for each essay. Here we work with students on the overall language theme, the right opening, main body and communication. It is extremely important that the tonality of the language style match with the overall student profile. It is critical for the essays and the overall student profile to be cohesive and not appear disjointed. We do not force fit a standard formula for all students.
    3. Customization is key. Whether we consider the Common App Essay or College Specific Essays, the design for a IVY application requires a very different approach than say Stanford, or UC Berkeley. While the core of a student is the same, how that is presented to different colleges needs to be customized.
    4. Avoiding common misconceptions. "Essays have to have a humorous opening" is an example of a very common misconception. We have had successes by customizing the opening for the same student while writing essays for different colleges. For the same student we advised on a humorous opening for one college but designed it to be more aspirational for another. The student succeeded in both. It all depends on the overall story and what each college is looking for.
